ACCOUNTING CLERK LFS

 LFS, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods.  LFS has locations in Bellingham, Seattle and Poulsbo, WA and Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer, Kenai, Sitka, Naknek and Dillingham, AK.

Job Summary:  Provide general support to the accounting team with clerical and administrative tasks. Perform basic office tasks, assist with bookkeeping and reporting, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  1. Compiles and sorts documents, process invoices for payment
  2. Prepare and email out invoices, credit memos and statements
  3. Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies.
  4. Prepares vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy.
  5. Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.
  6. Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
  7. Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
  8. Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
  9. Assist fulfillment process to complete customer orders
  10. Assist with creating content for website / data entry
  11. Provide outstanding customer service
  12. Must be detail orientated team player

Experience:

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of entry level experience as accounting clerk or a position that requires attention to detail.

Special Training/Skills (Language):

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Basic Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent; and to draw and interpret bar graphs. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the Work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds.
