Pay in WA State is $20-25 per hour

Job Summary: Sells products to individuals and businesses via phone, email, cases, and web site by performing the following duties:

Essential Functions

  1. Answer call center phone calls M-F 7-4 pm (PST). Provide customer support for new and existing sales orders. Apply marine repair knowledge to help customers select the correct boat parts such as I/O and O/B engine parts, steering systems, outdrives, propellers and other parts for their specific applications. Utilize electronic catalogs, Huggins and Mercury Parts finder for cross-referencing parts and products.
  2. Answer customer cases and emails throughout the day. Provide answers to customers regarding product or ordering information.
  3. Respond to tasks from various team members regarding customer order issues and catalog issues.
  4. Prepare complete quotes for customers.
  5. Attend product training sessions with manufacturer reps and others.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Prepare Quotes and Sales Orders for customers with complex boat applications (electronic controls, electrical distribution systems, custom heat exchangers, hydraulic pumps/winches etc.)
  2. Coach and mentor other sales agents regarding more complex boat applications.
  3. Provide suggestions for new products and inventory levels to purchasing.
  4. Investigate and assist expediting team with resolving customer delivery problems or return issues.
  5. Review sales reports and optimize telephone support sales.
  6. In between customer support times, write product content for the web site or articles for blog.
  7. Add products to the web site.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of email, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.

This is a remote position; you would be working from your home.
