Summary: The Construction Worker II performs all aspects of work required in the maintenance and construction of plant production facilities, office buildings, and equipment in various locations in Alaska. Reports to the Site Supervisor for the facilities construction group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operates medium sized equipment, such as skid-steers, forklifts, surfacing equipment, dock cranes, man lifts, telescoping lifts etc.
  • Scaffolding staging, assembly, and safety.
  • Wood framing, window and door installation and roofing
  • Interior carpentry finishing and sheetrock
  • Installing ventilation ducting and plumbing fixtures
  • Concrete forming, reinforcing, and placing
  • Ensures strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Travels to AK plants as needed to assist and provide additional coverage.

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions 
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 year of non-supervisory experience as a construction trades person with a variety of residential, commercial, or industrial construction experience.
  • Proficient with common construction hand and power tools.
  • Understanding of constructions drawings, plans and math.

Preferred Experience:

  • HS diploma or equivalent GED, Associate’s Degree, or skilled trades graduate
  • Basic understanding of hand tools
  • Has operated a motor vehicle
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Minimal experience with power tools
  • Experience with basic concrete and carpentry
  • Understanding of basic plumbing and piping

Training:

  • OSHA 10 -required, company will provide
