Summary:  The Line Operator position will set up, monitor, and adjust the processing equipment to ensure all product specifications are met by performing the following duties:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sets up equipment such as pumps, choppers, slitters, wrapper belts, and conveyors.
  • Monitors equipment and product, collects, examines, measures, weighs, and tests product to verify machine setup and conformance of product to specifications.
  • Adjusts equipment to regulate flow, color, slit depth, angle of cut, length of pieces and maximize throughput.
  • Records and maintains production data, such as run time, waste, quantity, type, and dimensions of materials produced.
  • Dismantles and cleans equipment according to standard sanitation procedures then reassembles it.
  • Manually feeds on product that has accumulated within required time frame.
  • Will be cross trained in at least one other production area to assist with break rotations and to remain productive during low volume periods

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 6 months food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.

The employee is occasionally required to climb ladders to elevated platforms, blanace, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

The employee moves objects

  • regularly up to 5 pounds
  • frequently up to 25 pounds
  • occasionally up to 30 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception and color vision.
