Summary: The Senior Master Data Business Analyst is responsible for gathering all relevant Master Data information, analyzing the business process and system requirement impacts, and preparing and entering the appropriate data accurately into the SAP Master Data system. This will be an IT support role for the new S/4 HANA ERP system, and is responsible for insuring data accuracy through continuous audits and analysis of existing data, and conducting and facilitating project work in conjunction with Master Data processes and product accuracy.

  • Operate as SAP Master Data content expert and work with business users to analyze data integrity, completeness, consistency, accuracy, timeliness, conformity, and validity
  • Drive comprehensive master data creation & maintenance processes in SAP and across Trident master data processes
  • Work with reporting team to build auditing tools that find gaps or errors in master data
  • Execute mass maintenance jobs and utilities according to business requirements
  • Master data entry management within SAP (Dev/QA/Prod landscapes)
  • Support the creation of product specifications and labels and make recommendations for future processes
  • Communicate with business teams such as FSQA, R&D, Quality, Planning, Pricing, Finance Ops, FP&A and Sourcing as first line of support for Master Data questions
  • Execute master data creation and maintenance in accordance with established standard operating procedures, templates/mapping documents, service level objectives, and Trident seafoods project plans.
  • Complete/process SAP data loads utilizing data workflow tools, load templates and corresponding programs, mass change transactions, and/or direct entry depending on the situation.
  • Work with a Master Data Lead and Trident Seafoods business analysts, data stewards and individual business data object owners to understand rules and data setup for new requirements due to system enhancements, process improvements, and/or business rule changes.

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $110k to $130k.

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • A minimum of eight years of experience using SAP or an ERP system, with a focus on Master Data, governance or support, information system, or related field.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, management information systems, mathematics, or engineering or the equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience/expertise in SAP MDG/MDM implementation.
  • Proficient in SAP MM/PM/WM/SD/FICO experience.
  • • Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

Preferred education and experience

  • Proficient in SAP MM/PM/WM/SD/FICO experience
  • Experience working in a food and manufacturing setting
  • Experience with Lean, Agile, and Six Sigma tools.
  • SAP Variant Configuration experience
  • Strong cross-functional knowledge of master data usage across the supply chain.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Direct experience managing master data across in SAP S/4 HANA and in Fiori in a large enterprise.

Work environment (includes travel/on-call): This role is primarily based in an office setting where the noise level can be moderate. At times, the employee will be required to travel in wet, cold environments. This role may occasionally be required to work on weekends/after standard work hours to minimize disruptions to the business.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer for long periods and often sit at a desk in an office environment. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. During visits to production locations, the employee will need normal vision and hearing to safely navigate production floors and warehouses. The employee moves objects occasionally up to 25 pounds.
