JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary:  This position will provide logistical support of purchased material and parts supporting vessels and Alaska plants by performing, but not limited to, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving activities, inventory management, and oversight of quality of assets.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages inventory of purchased direct materials and parts used in support of product production.
  • Identifies poor quality or inaccurate count of material and communicates to key stakeholders. 
  • Monitors and reviews daily inventory adjustments and changes and creates reports as requested.
  • Analyzes significant cycle count adjustments to identify root causes and to recommend counter measures.
  • Assists in the resolution of inventory issues / discrepancies, problem orders and intercompany transfer issues. 
  • Maintains and enhances Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and SAP procurement programs to optimize purchasing and inventory control procedures.
  • Operates lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely move parts to proper locations and load and unload steel trucks as necessary.
  • Assists in the receipt of purchased goods verifying counts and quality, completes transactions to receive product, processes paperwork, and completes all necessary transactions according to established procedures. May need to lift items of up to 50 lbs.
  • Performs incoming freight inspections, documents, and communicate known issues in a timely manner.
  • Visually monitors inventory levels and communicates low levels to buyers, schedulers, and others as necessary.
  • Monitors that product is delivered on time, to the appropriate destinations, and in the expected quantities.  
  • Ensures QC of all goods prior to leaving the warehouse.

 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety training.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Minimum of 4 years in inventory management, shipping/receiving or related warehouse experience
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and overtime
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). 
  • Prior experience with inventory management systems.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift validation within 30 days of start of employment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with Enterprise Asset Management system with Infor

 

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

 

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $27.00
