Summary:  

Receives, processes, and ships goods; issues tools and equipment and performs inventory management supporting Tacoma and Alaska operations. Operates forklift safely. Utilizes System Applications and Products (SAP) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software to perform duties. Professionally communicates with corporate buyers and senior-level managers. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes multiple enterprise resource planning systems ensuring accountability and traceability of inbound/outbound cargo and inventory accuracy.
  • Uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders.
  • Assembles, prepares, and manifests goods for shipment via multimodal methods.
  • Responsible for properly classifying outbound cargo with the correct hazard communications in preparation for shipment.
  • Loads and unloads cargo utilizing material handling equipment into/onto enclosed trailers and flatbeds.
  • Conducts scheduled cycle-count inventory and maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.
  • Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment into appropriate storeroom locations and bins; documents cargo/goods received damages and discrepancies for reimbursement and reconciliation.
  • Inspects tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
  • Maintains logs of tool checkout and condition, issues supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  •  1 year of warehouse operations; shipping and receiving and inventory management.
  • High school diploma, six months of work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in MS Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Must be able to pass forklift certification immediately upon hiring
  • Ability and willingness to work a variable schedule, which may include weekends and holidays  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Hazardous Waste and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) experience
  • Experience in SAP and EAM or equivalent asset management systems.

Special Training/Skills:

Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to supervisor and other employees of the organization.  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

Work Environment:

Works in warehouse and operates outdoors, cooler, and warmer temps.

Works around loud noises.

May need to travel <5%.  

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The physical demands of this role are sedentary, requiring sitting for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, may occasionally move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Mental Activities:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to read, write, and speak English, and use decision making skills, perform basic math, and use exercise independent judgment/discretion.The employee is occasionally required to use interpersonal, customer service, mentoring, problem analysis, and training skills.

 

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $21.00 to $22.00
