Summary:  Manages the sale, installation and service of hydraulic systems, steering systems and equipment by performing the following duties:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confers with customers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
  • Provides technical and non-technical support and services to clients regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of hydraulic equipment.
  • Customizes, installs and assembles hydraulic units, parts and motors to meet customer specifications and system requirements.
  • Inspects hydraulic lines and components to detect leaks, damage, and wear.
  • Disassembles hydraulic system and removes and replaces defective actuator, pump bearings, pump motor or accumulator.
  • Replaces worn or damaged hydraulic components such as oil lines, fittings, cylinders, servo-valves, pressure release valves, gaskets, and seals.
  • Observes operation of hydraulic system to verify proper installation and/or repair.
  • Combination of technical and trouble shooting skills is crucial.

 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Acquires knowledge of safety policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with safety training.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment for work being performed; understand job hazards and which PPE is required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical school certificate or combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with Parker products.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

The employee moves objects

  • regularly up to 10 pounds
  • frequently up to 25 pounds
  • occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
