Summary:

Oversee the daily operation of the office management and ensure that administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Provides leadership to staff, support to staff and area management, reports to regional manager.

Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)

  • Provide supervision, leadership, and guidance to office staff, including setting expectations and fostering positive work environment. 
  •  Overseeing the workflow within the office department, delegating tasks and responsibilities, ensuring deadlines are met.
  •  Facilitating communication within the office department and reports to regional manager including but not limited to generating financial reports as requested, critical issues as they arise, office schedules and/or rotations, attend administrative meetings.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company policies, procedures, and regulations within the office department.
  • Managing office resources effectively, including supplies and equipment
  • Use of financial and production software including but not limited to Catch Manager, Square, SAP, Airtable, Smartsheets, Marel Innova and including training on staff on software functionalities.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate governmental reporting as required by law using external software including but not limited to Elandings, Tlandings and Efish.
  • Manage the completion of month-end and/or end of season closing procedures including but not limited to review month-end accounting checklist, generate and review financial reports, monitor cash flows, review journal entries and ledgers, reconciliation for accuracy and post end of the month accounting reports as required and aligned by the current company SOP.
  • Manage fisherman accounting including but not limited to bookkeeping, account settlements, perform AR/AP procedures such as receive and post payments timely and accurately, and send billing statements and invoices to account holders as required and aligned by the current company SOP.

 

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • Prior leadership experience required
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Strong leadership skills, comprehensive knowledge of administrative practices, problem solving skills and or creative solutions, sound judgement and decision-making skills are essential

Preferred education and experience

  • 5 years of related experience preferred
  • Budgeting principles and financial management practices, Office software proficient including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications, communication platforms

Work environment (includes travel/on-call):

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move 10 to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision and depth perception
