SUMMARY:

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Training Manager to develop, implement and conduct an ongoing comprehensive Value Added Product Training Program.  The candidate will collaborate with a cross functional team to define, develop and implement product and system training requirements to support the regional, broker and distributor sales networks throughout North America.       

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop a product training program curriculum, including written and digital materials, that captures measurable and achievable results.
  • Create new product introductions and train regional and  broker networks on scheduled new product launches.
  • Coordinate & perform regular regional, broker and distributor product training sessions.
  • Work independently to facilitate remote and onsite product training meetings.
  • Present training materials.
  • Deliver product and system training information and classes as they relate to product, competitors and the marketplace.
  • Strive to attain an unwavering knowledge of Trident Seafoods and its product line.

  • A “hands on” approach to product training which will include broker, distributor and regional networks.
  • Ability to prepare and serve value added seafood products. Culinary skills a plus

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires strong written, oral communication skills, including skills in developing and delivering presentations for internal and external audiences of all levels of retail, foodservice and seafood business.
  • Good knowledge of training and development methodologies and marketing practices.
  • Prospective applicants should be confident, outgoing and comfortable giving stand-up presentations to large and small groups, in person or on camera.
  • Prior training experience
  • Driver’s license/good driving record.
  • Knowledge of the retail and food service industry is preferred and seafood wholesale experience is a plus.
  • Self-starter, ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Position requires regular travel by car and plane; approx 50%
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office; PowerPoint is essential
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Corporate training & development
