SUMMARY  

The purpose for this role is to drive sustainable performance improvement in Trident, focused in Supply Chain Operations.

The Lean Champion is responsible for creating, establishing and maintaining the Lean strategy for Trident. Focus will be to lead people, projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business. This role encompasses major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, lead cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall supply chain business strategy.

Well-developed Lean management and strategic knowledge and ability to design, implement and lead a lean strategy for Trident is key for success. Significant practical implementation experience is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCITONS

  1. Designs and implements lean strategies that support performance management in the plants, lower total lead time to customers, support inventories in the chain increase productivity and improve KPIs.
  2. Designs, implements and manages lean competence system. 
  3. Manages an indirect team of continuous improvement associates across the markets, providing training and coaching for best in class lean practices.
  4. Co-leads productivity projects across the supply chain.
  5. Chairs lean projects to assure excellence in execution of the key lean projects across the region. Act as functional expert.
  6. Develops and implements methods and KPIs that reflect customer value in the supply chain and act upon acquired data, influencing and shaping KPIs and priorities.
  7. Supports implementation of key lean initiatives in supply chain by leading and/or co-leading projects, coaching project leaders and reporting progress.
  8. Supports implementation of lean in different functional areas within supply chain (quality, finance, distribution, manufacturing and procurement).

TRAVEL

Extensive travel, including international travel, and travel to remote locations is required at times (appx 25%).  Most travel is planned, project based.

Minimum Requirements

 

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Lean Leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

EDUCATION

BS in Industrial Engineering or related degree required

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES 

Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification desirable
