Job SummaryThe Master Data Management (MDM) initiative requires a person with strong managerial and analytical skills and experience in data consolidation, data federation and data governance. This on-going initiative requires a manager / analyst to capture and organize relevant attributes, with Quality Assurance, Marketing, Sales and other enrichment teams across Trident Seafoods.  Trident Seafoods utilizes Stibo STEP as our primary solution. 

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reports: Directly to Director Supply Chain
  • Supervise: No Direct Reports
  • Works within continuous improvement project team, (Project SCUBA)

Essential Functions:


This role is responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies, working within a matrix organization.

  • Product Data Management
    • Facilitate the Trident product master data management strategy
      • Partner with various enrichment teams on inputs and workflows for product data.
      • Partner with various teams on the outputs and governance of product data.
      • Facilitate the role out of outputs where Stibo STEP is the primary source delivering product data
      • Design dashboards and reporting to roll-up to steering committee for key performance indicators
      • Lead data governance initiative for sustainability and scalability (global roadmap)
    • Manage the Stibo STEP implementation and rollout of all identified Trident SKUs in all regions.
    • Partner with the functional groups within the organization to communicate and clarify business needs, contribute to development of long-term system plans, and ensure products and services are aligned with all businesses.
  • Data Governance
    • Work with the lines of business and technology areas to understand global business product availability challenges, evaluate options and technology approach.
    • Identify current gaps in data health and implement corrective measures to ensure data integrity.
    • Actively seek ways to apply technology to business processes, researching and providing information on technical trends, advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes, units and system priorities.
    • Lead the automation of structure analysis, tracking and reporting tools related to the team in the field system usability via analytics and partnering with the User Experience team to measure feedback and future phases.
  • Technology Stack/Workflow design
    • Business lead for project meetings in order to design and scope scalable technical solutions that extend the existing functionality of STEP outputs, supporting applications across the Trident Technology Stack related to the products with customer needs as the leading indicator.
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including application developers, executives, subject matter experts, marketing, product management, regulatory/compliance teams, IT teams, end users and third parties/vendors, to ensure satisfaction throughout the product life cycle and provide optimal workflows.
    • Manage projects for integrations of product data with various applications, data synchronization networks, web sites and product technical document generation.

Minimum Requirements




  • At least 5 years of experience in a business-driven MDM environment and Product Lifecycle Management Systems environment with ERP systems and databases Proven capabilities to act within an international environment is a plus
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, FDA preferred track record and certification in project management such as PMP is a plus.
  • Food, nutrition, and/or seafood industry experience a plus


  • MBA or master’s degree in Supply Chain or related field is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, Information Technologies or other related fields

Work Environment:

This job takes place in a typical office environment.  The noise level is usually moderate.
