Trident is seeking an SAP Supply Planning Lead to join the Trident team to work on an exciting transformation initiative.  This critical global transformation works to improve supply chain efficiency, deliver world-class sales performance and provide the fuel to rebuild its infrastructure, including its vessels and Alaska factories.  The company has selected SAP as its future ERP system, transitioning from a legacy JD Edwards platform in the US and Japan, and an older SAP instance in Europe.    This will be a business facing role supporting the successful delivery of SAP projects which fall under the IBP work stream. This individual will actively lead the SAP implementation of all relevant processes in this process area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the overall Subject Matter Expert and Change Agent of integrated supply planning and production scheduling within the IBP SAP work stream.
  • Works with stakeholders throughout Trident and third parties to understand the needs and ensures the overall IBP work stream implements successfully.
  • Executing SAP implementation by defining requirements, define functional specifications, working with Supply chain team in realizing the change, and working with supply chain users in testing, training and rolling out of changes.
  • Leverages functional and technical skills to define current and future state processes, conducts business process mapping, and requirement gathering sessions.
  • Identifying business pain points and assessing how SAP IBP can improve efficiency.
  • Responsible to ensure the delivery of the global template supporting the execution of SAP business processes related to supply planning.
  • Leads relevant workshops to map business process requirements for system functionality, determine gaps, and recommend solutions for identified gaps.
  • Develops and maintains a detailed understanding of the business processes and associated software configuration with respect to IBP work stream.
  • Works with business owners and leadership to develop new “To-Be” business processes.
  • Manages expectations and performance among Core team to deliver objectives.
  • Will be responsible for continuously improving the supply planning and scheduling processes and systems by leveraging SAP functionality.
  • Communicates activities that highlight and publicizes plans, goals, and results of IBP work stream
  • Ensures knowledge transfer to business owners.
  • Leads and identifies continuous improvement projects identified within the work stream or across other work streams.

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions 
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings
  • Performs other responsibilities, as assigned


Minimum Requirements



  • Demonstrated experience with best practices and implementing SAP business processes.
  • Proven experience in full life cycle SAP implementation and support.
  • Configuration and testing experience in SAP.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP Supply chain, Manufacturing, IBP, Procurement, MRP and ability to configure SAP Planning modules – DP, SNP PP/DS with minimal support.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Team Leader role.
  • Success at implementing large scale, complex projects.
  • Proven track record of strong people and program management.
  • Experience in working with process leads in deploying Supply planning, RCCP processes
  • Experience in working with process leads in guiding analytics design based on SAP data


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related field or combination of education and relevant experience.


  • Ability to think strategically and broadly about the business while also fully understanding the details, workflows, systems, and near-term issues facing the department and cooperative.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively evaluates information and data to make decisions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate with all levels across the business.
  • Experience and passion for being a change agent
