Summary: The Maintenance Administrator will oversee maintenance schedules, inventory requests and parts purchasing initiated by location Maintenance Planners as well as asses inventory needs and plan and oversee the purchase of parts for manufacturing equipment for all Alaska locations, Tacoma warehouse and vessels. This position is based in Tacoma, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly reviews and oversees maintenance and project schedules to ensure scheduling meets company and regulatory expectations and requirements.
  • Determines parts needs for maintenance and projects in each location.
  • Establishes and maintains KPI’s for Maintenance Planners and ensures they are performing according to standards.
  • Uses warehouse management system to determine what parts are in stock and what needs to be ordered.
  • Creates and maintains a procurement schedule to ensure locations have stock required for projects while not carrying excess inventory.
  • Creates and maintains a comprehensive list of critical spares and ensures locations consistently have all critical spares in stock.
  • Provides remote support and coverage for Maintenance Planning on Vessels and at other locations as needed.
  • Provides cost estimates for parts needed for repair and maintenance as well as special projects as requested.
  • Updates warehouse management system and other databases as needed.
  • Provides reports and analytics as requested.
  • Schedules appointments, and performs other related clerical tasks as directed.
  • Works with HR and local management to resolve personal and performance issues and determine an appropriate course of action.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Acquires knowledge of operating Trident’s warehouse management (EAM) system which includes requisition and asset management programs.
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

Minimum Requirements

 

Experience:  A minimum of two years experience in an administrative role with exposure to budgeting, accounting, and logistic information.

Education: Associates Degree in Administration or a minimum of 3 years experience in an inventory or related support role for the food manufacturing industry.

Qualifications: Must have good communication skills and be able to multi-task with different locations to support maintenance planning requests with maintenance planners.  Must be able to perform problem-solving and effectively communicate, through teamwork.

Preferred Training and Skills: Proficient with CMMS EAM, or similar software, strong organizational and analytical skills.
