Description

 

Responsible for leading innovation portfolio strategy at Trident. Responsible for looking across our offerings to identify white space opportunities, fill in gaps vs. competition, allocate resources to the highest priority solutions, and evaluate solution-based extensions of Trident’s offering.  This role is responsible for the innovation portfolio strategy and management, they will lead scale on innovation and drive item selection, innovation models, pricing, working cross functional with colleagues in R&D, data, brand, category management and finance functions. 

Our over-arching purpose is to position Trident by setting the pace for consumer-focused innovation, bringing ideas to life, and creating connection for our consumers, partners, and each other.

Key Responsibilities:

·Make recommendations to Senior Leadership around resource allocation, overall investment envelope, new investment opportunities to support the core business as well as drive focus into new areas of opportunity

·Invest in new partnership, product offerings which support our core business categories and venture growth areas

·Establish a best-in-class performance management process to help monitor progress

·Lead our monthly Core Innovation Team sessions - set agenda, advise presenters, present recommendations, create post-meeting communications Working with cross functional teams

·Work cross-functionally with Brand, Supply Chain, Operations, Analytics and Insights, Quality & Regulatory, partnering to bring products to market, including the identification of potential new suppliers or raw materials

·Codify and share best practices in innovation, drawing on experiences inside and outside of Trident

·Help teams access resources to scale successful concepts, while identifying and managing risks for initiatives that are off track

·Develop project work plans and cross-functional timelines, manage project information and update cross-functional team, management and senior leadership

 

 

 

 

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Experience:

·Recent Product and Innovation Portfolio Management, direct Product management experience at the Manager or Senior Manager level with a strong performance track record within in CPG

·8+ years relevant work experience with an undergrad or 6+ relevant work experience with an MBA or master’s degree     

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree; MBA preferred

·Articulate and compelling in your oral and written communication skills; engaging and concise – with interpersonal “presence”; adaptable across executive, technical and Trident key audiences

·Independent – able to operate independently and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision
