Responsible for performing financial analysis in support of our species managers to identify risks and opportunities for our company.  Will be responsible to analyze individual products, determining reasons for price or cost variances, and use their data analysis to support decision making.  Will be performing pricing scenarios for products, assist in managing inventory levels, and doing some research on an ad-hoc basis.  May need to develop new financial models or tools to assist in supporting business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze product profitability, pricing gaps, and pricing dynamics; includes analysis and calculation of pricing impact on volume and earnings.
  • Interpret results of financial analyses and draw conclusions on business performance and expectations.
  • Manage and/or assist in product pricing, researching economic variances, and forecasting economic outcomes.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of financial trends and supports leaders with proper information for business decision-making.
  • Review manufacturing data for risks: supply, obsolete inventory and expiring products.
  • Provide guidance to Species Managers and Finance for potential risks and opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with Manufacturing to determine product costs, margins, and margin reviews.
  • Populate and maintain data in financial reporting system and audit to ensure the integrity of data structures.
  • Develop financial models and analytical tools that enable the business to support strategies and measurable objectives.
  • Generate market and financial data to be used in determining strategic objectives and KPI's. 
  • Work with Supply Chain and species managers to create demand planning templates and provide key data on pricing changes.

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. 
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.


Minimum Requirements



  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and various analytical formulas 
  • Experience or willingness to learn relational databases (Access, SQL, Power BI) 
  • Solid working understanding of Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to work independently and meet expected deadlines 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in positions requiring communication with a broad and diverse audience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public 
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference   
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situation


  • BS in Accounting, Finance or a closely related field


  • 3+ years of professional experience in accounting/finance
  • Experienced in building financial models and P&Ls
  • Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment preferred
  • CPA, CMA or CFA preferred
