Description
Summary:
The Electrical Supervisor manages the electrical maintenance program and maintenance staff for Alaska shore-based processing plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains a crew of electricians for efficient and safe electrical equipment repairs
- Inspect all new electrical installs, whether by the construction crew or vendor labor
- Coordinates with Plant managers and Chief engineers, Production managers, outside labor for new installs, heavy maintenance, and equipment upgrades
- Coordinates with Trident management for project planning
- Plans and ensure timely and on budget delivery of Capital Projects
- Maintains training for electrical staff
- Understanding of Project Logic Controls (PLC) and panel use for industrial equipment and automation
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensures safety equipment and clothing is onsite for crew use and construction crews are up to date on safety training
- Coordinates with Plant managers and Chief engineers for support crew needed for the various processing seasons
- Orders all material for maintenance projects and as needed for maintenance of facilities.
- Maintains a professional relationship with Plant managers, Chief engineers, and Production managers
- Advises management on what is needed to maintain a safe and efficient electrical workspace
- Advises management of new electrical safety requirements
- Advises management of needed equipment upgrades and replacements
- Research new energy saving equipment and processes
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- Ten years in the electrical field including five years as a licensed Commercial/ Industrial Electrical Journeyman preferred
Education:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Electrical Maintenance Technician Certificate or an Electrical Technician Certificate
Qualifications:
- Two years installing and or maintaining Industrial electrical equipment
- Must be able to travel to Alaska for extended periods of time according to facility needs
- Must be able to work in uncomfortable environments that are unique to Alaska processing facilities
- Must be a self-starter, able to manage one’s time with little oversight
- Must be able adjust travel schedule on short notice
- Must be able to think creatively to overcome logistical and environmental conditions that are prevalent at Alaska processing facilities
