Summary:
Trident Seafoods Corporation is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to direct enterprise IT projects and initiatives. This is a hands-on position that provides project management from small to large-scale projects. Projects may include key infrastructure upgrades, replacement technologies, applications, and system integrations. This position acts as the liaison between our IT teams and business partners with an emphasis on organizing projects effectively following PMI standards. This position will work closely with IT leadership to guarantee timely delivery of projects on time and within budget. Bring your ideas and best practices!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage diverse IT projects through the various lifecycle stages from business need through design and delivery, including creating, monitoring, modifying, and communicating the project plan and status to all stakeholders and project teams.
- Project scheduling and task management, including creating, monitoring, modifying, and communicating all aspects of the project
- Resource forecasting, allocation, and scheduling of resources with IT leadership team, including advocating for resources.
- Goal setting and developing appropriate strategies for achieving realistic and practical goals.
- Accountable for project success and documented retrospectives or lessons learned.
- Strategic project planning.
- Acquire knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs
- Notify leadership of any environmental or safety incidents or risks
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in an IT Project Management role
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient with Project Management Software (Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.)
- Project management certifications are a plus
- Familiarity with and understanding key technologies and platforms (e.g., web services, cloud)
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and the ability to effectively communicate technical requirements to technical staff and/or consultants, including a solid understanding of data structures, business views, system configurations, integration points, application tools and module functionality
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and application of Project Management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
- Organization skills in managing multiple, parallel projects using formal project planning and scheduling techniques
- The ability to work through ambiguity
- Leadership skills to portray a positive attitude in directing and motivating others
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) and proven ability to interact with diverse levels of individuals, both horizontally and vertically, including key stakeholders within the company
- Adaptability to self-manage in times of stress and making timely decisions in alignment with business goals
- Consensus building skills to professionally drive change and process improvement in a loosely structured environment
- Proven track record of managing risk including negotiation and risk mitigation
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to handle demanding situations with diplomacy and tact
