Summary: The Supply Chain Senior Inventory Analyst assists in managing and analyzing inventory levels in multiple locations for and with the category managers to ensure a consistent supply of raw material for value-added plants and finished products for sales. Responsible for ensuring timely and transparent information to manage inventory and MRP functions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifies potential product shortages, and construct a plan to avoid shortages in a cost-effective manner
  • Requests raw material inspections, manage movement and maintain balance to support production demands
  • Establishes a strong network and fosters collaboration with internal customers, Demand Planners, Operations and Sales Managers/Coordinators to meet production and sales order fulfillment demands
  • Manages MRP item maintenance and item setup
  • Manages blanket orders and monthly reporting
  • Assigns product to sales orders with a focus on OTIF standards
  • Performs inventory reconciliations in internal and third-party warehouses
  • Identifies aged and obsolete inventory and develop action plans with Category Managers
  • Requests and/or creates stock transfers to ensure adequate inventory levels for sales demand
  • Processes credit orders
  • Develops, documents and facilitates SKU rationalization for the value-added plants
  • Assigns product to RD/QA Sample Requests
  • Manages and prioritizes multiple assignments
  • Ability to engage with other team members in departmental functions including cross-training.

Additional Responsibilities:  

Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions  
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety training

Minimum Requirements

 

 

Experience:

  • Minimum two years of experience assisting Supply Chain operations or MRP experience preferred
  • Cold storage/warehouse experience and understanding of the transfer process are desirable

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain; or a minimum of four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Experience working in popular Supply Planning tools (SAP/Oracle etc.) preferred
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office programs
  • Must be flexible, innovative, and comfortable in setting own priorities
  • Able to work both independently and within a team generating results with general/minimal guidance.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Mental Activities:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to read, speak, write and understand English, and to use customer service skills. The employee is regularly required to use interpersonal and teamwork skills. The employee is occasionally required to use creativity, independent judgement, discretion, problem analysis, and decision making skills.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
