Summary: The Fleet Services & Support Manager will strategically grow and stabilize independent fishing fleets to meet Trident’s
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists area and fleet managers with providing effective means of fleet outreach.
- Oversees fisherman loan/advance program and ensures fleet managers are proficient in facilitating the program with area fishing fleets.
- Works with finance department and leadership as needed to represent AK Operations in creating and managing protocols and process for loan programs.
- Conducts ROI analyses on future fleet investments by region and makes recommendations to leadership.
- Works with benefits team to administer and support fishing fleet health and welfare insurance programs.
- Provides and presents data and analyses on fleet health in all areas as requested by Leadership teams.
- Serves as point of contact for Trident local political concerns, escalates issues to government relations teams as appropriate.
- Conducts or facilitates engagement and other surveys with fishing fleets and effectively addresses concerns.
- Fosters and ensures consistent and effective communication with fishing fleets.
- Manages fisherman awards programs including jackets and other swag.
- Researches, proposes and creates new benefit and discount programs for fishermen with key vendors.
- Supervises Fleet Services and Support Coordinator and other employees as assigned.
- Participates in strategic planning and goal setting, cascades goals to teams.
- Manages and monitors the performance of assigned employees to ensure they meet required standards and KPI’s.
- Works with HR to resolve personnel and performance issues and determine appropriate course of action.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings
