MATERIAL MOVEMENT SPECIALIST

Description
Reporting to the Administration Center Manager, the Material Movement Specialist provides administrative support to Trident’s core operations landing, processing, and shipping seafood for our Alaskan Shore Plant’s Operations. The position, located at our Anchorage AK Administrative Support Center, ensures the accurate and timely completion of production orders, material movements, and goods receipts is SAP for assigned locations. The Specialist also ensures data continuity between SAP and systems used for recording fish purchases, labeling finished goods handling units, and building outbound systems.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES:
- Executes processing production related transactions.
- Creates Production orders in SAP.
- Confirms material consumption in SAP.
- Records material movements of Fish, Ingredients, Packaging, Bait, and Fuel.
- Troubleshoots system and process issues related to material movements
- Monitors data feeds related to round Fish and Finished Goods.
- Monitors and maintains data continuity between SAP and other production related systems to include Innova, Catch Manager, Point of Sale systems, and other systems as assigned.
- Monitors for and escalates process exceptions and deviations.
- Produces system based periodic reporting.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- 1+ year processing data entry a high transaction count environment.
- 1+ years’ experience completing purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, shipping and/or other key transactions supporting a large manufacturing/transportation organization
- Experience with an ERP system, such as JD Edwards, Oracle, or SAP (preferred)
- Experience monitoring EDI feeds and reconciling errors.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
Education:
- High School Degree or Equivalent
Qualifications & Skills
- Data entry skills, ability to pass a keypunch speed and accuracy test.
- Good cross-functional communication.
- Manufacturing, transportation and/or food Industry experience preferred.
- Ability to travel periodically to Trident’s Alaska locations.
