TRAVEL SPECIALIST

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Administration Center Manager, the Travel Specialist provides administrative support to Trident’s core operations landing, processing, and shipping seafood for our Alaskan Shore Plant’s Operations. The position, located at our Anchorage AK Administrative Support Center, supports the movement of our seasonal staff to and from our AK locations. The Travel Specialist supports scheduling of travel, proper recording of people movement, and ensures proper recording of travel expenses.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES:
- Maintains detailed information related to the movement of Trident people to and from our Alaska locations.
- Collaborate with HR, Travel Providers, Plant Operations leaders, Seattle Support Center Finance to accurately record people movements.
- Cross charge intercompany travel expenses.
- Troubleshoot travel problems and support staff.
- Monitors recording of employee arrivals and departures to ensure accurate people data by location.
- Ensures proper recording of travel expenses.
- Monitors for and escalates process exceptions and deviations.
- Produces system based periodic reporting.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Backs up Administrative Center Buyer during busy times.
- Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- 1+ year processing data entry a high transaction count environment.
- 1+ years’ experience completing purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, shipping and/or other key transactions supporting a large manufacturing/transportation organization.
- Experience with HR systems, such as PeopleSoft, SAP HR, or Ceridian (preferred)
- Experience with an ERP system, such as JD Edwards, Oracle, or SAP (preferred)
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
Education:
- High School Degree or Equivalent
Qualifications & Skills
- Data entry skills, ability to pass a keypunch speed and accuracy test.
- Good cross-functional communication.
- Previous Travel Specialist experience preferred.
- Ability to travel periodically to Trident’s Alaska locations.
