Summary: The Maintenance Administrator for the Marine and Power and Propulsion Divisions will develop and maintain all key department files and asset information and provide reporting and information to key personnel as requested. They will also assist in development of vessel and machinery maintenance scheduling, and will track, compile, and assist with regulatory and compliance activities to ensure compliance with all internal and external regulations. 


Key Responsibilities:

• Assists in Development and maintenance of master equipment lists to track all major Trident vessel assets including maintenance history, planned maintenance, and Repair and Maintenance schedules for each.

• Assists Vessel Operations Managers, and Engineering Support Staff with development and oversight of, and Vessel repair and maintenance planning.

• Participates in capital project planning to assess capital improvement needs, and determine scope, budget and timelines.

• Requests and tracks historical maintenance data from Trident’s vessel support vendors.

• Oversees maintenance history and tracking and ensures that all history including quotations, invoices, service reports, reconditioning, current operating hours and failures are recorded properly.

• Maintains records of maintenance costs for each vessel including parts and personnel costs.

• Facilitates development of preferred vendor lists and contact information.

• Assists with development of critical spares lists and tracks and maintains lists.

• Coordinates with key personnel to obtain, record and analyze fuel monitoring information and average load reports.

• Enters and Maintains information and data into department databases as directed. and enters information into equipment database

• Provides reports and analytics as requested.


Additional Responsibilities: 

• Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions

• Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings

• Supports, promotes and ensures work and progress alignment with the department’s overall vision, objectives and end goal.

• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Minimum Requirements




• Previous administrative experience in machinery or vessel maintenance roles, or 5+ Years relevant marine engineering experience preferred. 



• Bachelor’s degree in maritime or marine engineering field preferred.



• Familiar with creating, editing, managing multiple programs and files.

• Organized, has the ability to manage input information from many sources.

• Has advanced computer skills

• Performs work with energy and drive, values planning, but will take quick, decisive action when an opportunity presents itself.

• Collaborates positively to achieve team and company objectives. Works effectively within a diverse environment.

• Provides oversight for programs and decisions to minimize confusion or error.
