The HR Coordinator - Bilingual provides great service to both Trident applicants and employees. This position supports Trident’s HR Managers and Recruiters with the administration of the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the HR Operations Supervisor/Manager, and a key partner of the HR Operations Team, a successful candidate will be an approachable, trusted member of the department. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, self-starting, commitment to excellence, and a constant desire to learn will be key measures of success in this position. In addition to English, written and verbal fluency in Spanish is required.

This position will be based out of Trident’s Support Center in Seattle, WA and will require occasional travel with weekends included to company locations in Alaska or in the Lower 48.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent customer service as the first point of contact for callers and in-person visitors to the HR department. A positive, helpful attitude is required at all times
  • Routes and/or responds to incoming calls, visitors, email, faxes and mail appropriately
  • Provides information via telephone, email, and in-person about job opportunities, application status, company facilities, and work environment to active and potential applicants
  • Performs as a member of the HR Operations team, exhibiting a high degree of knowledge and expertise in all pre- and post-employment processes such as: Applicant Tracking System, pre-employment screening systems and requirements, DOT and non-DOT random drug screening, unemployment verification, I-9 management
  • Assists with performing and/or coordinating all aspects of the pre-employment process e.g., drug screens, criminal background checks, medical questionnaires, onboarding
  • Updates results of pre-employment screening steps accurately and concisely in Trident’s Applicant Tracking System
  • Assists with filing, record management, and other HR and HRIS administrative duties.  Prepares, organizes, and indexes files to be scanned into an online data storage system
  • Participates in contract signing days by assisting employees with questions, providing directions when needed, onboarding, making copies, etc

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Assists HR Managers and Recruiters during peak hiring seasons
  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions 
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental 

Minimum Requirements




  • Outstanding customer service experience required


  • Fluency in a second language required; Spanish.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people, both internally and externally, in a professional, helpful, and positive manner
  • Ability to handle multiple situations at a time
  • Self-starting

  • Constant desire to learn
  • Availability to work overtime required, as needed
  • Ability to travel required, as needed (2-3 times a year, up to 2 weeks at a time, occasionally to company locations in remote areas)
  • Ability to be able to travel and work in the Seattle/Tacoma area at various plants during peak seasons. You may do this several days in a row.
