Description

 

The Stockroom Clerk receives, inventories, stores, and restocks merchandise in MRO parts room by performing the following duties:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
  • Receives, opens, and unpacks, cartons or crates of merchandise, checking purchase order against items received.
  • Stocks storage areas with new or transferred merchandise.
  • Cycle counts and provides documentation of discrepancies in inventory to superiors.
  • Assists staff from other departments locate and sign-out needed parts.
  • Requisitions parts as needed via Infor EAM or currently utilized software.

 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions 
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings

Minimum Requirements

 

Education:

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • At least one year working in a maintenance environment.
  • Proficient in inventory control measures

 

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Mental Activities:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to use decision making skills, creativity, independent judgment, discretion, and problem analysis. The employee will occasionally use interpersonal skills and team work. The employee will regularly speak and read English, and use customer service skills.
