Summary: The Category/Product Manager plans, organizes, and controls an assigned line of refrigerated/frozen seafood product portfolio. Responsible for planning, inventory management, pricing, and promotions to optimize profit and meet growth objectives.

This hybrid position will be a combination of remote and onsite at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle, WA. Our hybrid work environment includes remote on Monday and Friday and in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participates in overall product strategy, research and development and manufacturing for new and current products.
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, research and development and operations to develop product definitions and objectives that are responsive to customer needs and market opportunities from conception to launch.
  • Provide product training and presentation to internal and external customers as needed.
  • Manages budget and product P&L. Analyzes volume and profit for assigned categories and recommends actions to maximize profit and long-term market share.
  • Coordinate with supply and demand planning team on overall production needs to ensure optimum inventory level based on customer’s demand.
  • Analyzes customers, items and promotions to align strategy with department goals.
  • Maintains allocation and sales plan (brands, private label, etc.) by customer and item.
  • Implements domestic pricing for various sales channels and communicates pricing changes in collaboration with finance department.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Revenue Management to drive domestic promotion strategy, including trade planning and promotional programs.
  • Possible travel to plants or facilities as needed to support current and future product opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions 
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings

Minimum Requirements



  • 4-6 years of sales, product management, inventory/purchasing management, logistics and business financials.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in fishing, seafood or agricultural industry value added business preferred.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Extensive knowledge of Excel, Power BI, SAP
  • Superior customer service, excellent verbal, and written skills.
  • 4-6 years of sales, product management, inventory/purchasing management experience.
  • Previous work experience in account management, supply chain, sales planning, category buyer.



This is a Salaried – Exempt position with an annualized salary range of: $95,000 - $115,000.
